Megas Adelphos is a proven successful resource program for people to maintain control over their lives. Through Megas Adelphos, comes a strategy of motivation, strength, training, and encouragement. Our program is accomplished by motivating participants to walk in freedom, while building a solid foundation for their future. We embrace and walk with boys and men; developing their skills and wisdom through a life transforming experience that breaks generational cycles to come.

History and Bio of Founder of Organization:
Ron Britton is a U.S. Veteran in the Army and he received a certificate of leadership during his service.
He obtained a Bachelor in Arts Degree in Organizational Management in 2001, from Bethel College.
Most recently, Ron received a certificate of excellence in mentoring from the San Diego Mentorship Network. He has received additional awards and certificates including Champion of Knights award from the Knights of the Round Table.
Ron is certified as a Collaborative Mentor by the Alliant International University of San Diego through the Community Collaborative Mentorship Training Program.
Ron’s close relationship and involvement with the conflict resolution center of San Diego proves his experience and training in the art of inclusive communication and the exchange training.
He has extensive training on the Culture of Gangs and Mental Health Services from Mental Health Systems, Inc. (MHS) within a program of the San Diego County Office of Education.
Mr. Ron Britton, CEO/Founder of Megas Adelphos worked tirelessly with juveniles at the Parkview Juvenile Facility in 1993. He volunteered his time, talents and abilities to teach juvenile how to make adjustments in their lives and to build relationships. Out of his compassion to help juvenile in the program, Mr. Britton saw a vision that would ultimately change men, & boys everywhere and he desired to do something to help improve their lives. Hence is the birthing of Megas Adelphos which interpreted means, “Larger Brother.” Mr. Britton wanted to walk with men and boys to show them how the “Larger Brother” walked and carried himself.
Megas Adelphos program is focused around walking with participants to understand and develop through the Stages of Manhood.
The men and boys we will serve are identified by need and are composed of one or more outcome goals and changes that will GUIDE them as a result of the mentoring process.
A few but not limited to categorized outcome goals are:
G-Guidance
Proverbs 3:5-7 NIV- Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.
- The leaders at Megas Adelphos will advise and guide mentees through difficult situations and problem solving. The information will be aimed at resolving a problem they may have had a hard time dealing with in the past.
U-Understanding
Matthew 13:11 NIV- He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.
- Helping the Program participants develop into a place of understanding by developing cognitive behavioral skills through CBI
I-Instruction
Proverbs 16:20 NIV- Those who listen to instruction will prosper; those who trust the LORD will be joyful.
- Instruction will be done through hands on experience with case managers of Megas Adelphos.
D-Direction
Psalm 32:8 NIV- I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you
- Case managers will provide spiritual direction for their future walk in life
E-Encouragement
Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV- The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
- Building up self-esteem and encouraging participants to become more proactive in their own lives and future.
Mentoring will take place at the training center.
Mentors and participant will meet 2 Times a week to provide training and supervision.
