The vision for Megas Adelphos was birthed in 1993 in my heart while visiting a juvenile facility in South Bend, IN. I felt a strong desire to make an impact in the lives of young men locked up in the penal system. I then ask to volunteer to come and speak with the youth as a mentor. For 30 plus years I’ve volunteered in juveniles, jails and prisons as a volunteer. I’m a poet, author and lyricist. I have written several books: Man or Monster; Noveltry Words of Passion for Her, and Dark Journey to Blackness. My goal is to educate youth about avoiding the penal system.

The impact we want our program to make in their lives will be for the quality of their outlook on life, raising up responsible, productive members of society. The mentoring relationships will contribute to the overall organizational goals that will impact Megas Adelphos participants for the rest of their lives.
